This was the first bunker I had built. When first on line some sympathic G Company officers put me up for a night or two until I could get this bunker built. This was the machine gun platoon headquarters and it housed a medic, a section sergeant, a radio operator and a messenger. As can be seen this was sited on the side of a fairly steep hill. It served us as well as could be expected.
