This is Skyline Drive going over this pretty steep hill. Only jeeps used this road because they were about the only vehicles that could make it. This was a short cut to our battalion rear headquarters. Elsewhere in this presentation is a view of the road that was the long way, but safe. Skyline Drive was in full view of the Chinese about the last third of the trip so there was always a chance of an artillery sniper trying his luck. This picture was taken from the front of our battalion forward headquarters bunker. The recognizable battle area is T-Bone Hill and the Alligator Jaws. We had a lot of patrol fighting out by T-Bone in February, 1953.
