Message | I'm trying to figure out any information I can about my grandfather Lawrence P. Edlin. He was awarded the Silver Star in the Korean War but will not talk about it at all. The only reason I know is because my grandmother has snuck and showed me the paperwork. He recently gave me his dog tags but said nothing. My son is now asking me questions but I have no information for him. Any help I could get would be appreciated. |

Message | I am looking for any information out there that anyone can give me in regards to my dad, Ray Taylor, Sr. He fought in the Korean War approximately 1951-1954. If anyone ever knew of him, please let me know. He died at a young age (58). He lived in Vermont and Maine for quite some time. My parents divorced and he remarried and moved to Maine. |

Message | I was amazed when I read the message from the ungreatful daughter. I am the daughter of a Korean War vet, and for anyone to say that it was not a big deal is very under educated on this war. Now tell my Father this as he tries to sleep being woke up with the nightmares. This was normal in our home until the day he died in 1984. This was as real a war to him and anyone else to lived this. As real as any other War or Police Action as some like to call it. It was a War! My heart goes out to all who fought in any war, and the families. As my son goes off to Iraq, I pray that he is not met with the same reception upon his return as the ungrateful daughter. She should thank all that lost their lives, as they gave her the chance to say those ungreatful things. The very greatful Daughter of a United States Marine, and Korean War Vet. |
